Terms & Conditions

Contributor Terms & Conditions

By applying to become a contributor to the TikTok Wikipedia website and its associated platforms (including Discord), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Eligibility

All contributors must be 18 years of age or older. By applying, you confirm that you meet this requirement. Proof of age may be requested at the discretion of the site administrators.

2. Nature of the Role (Volunteer & Unpaid)

All contributor roles are strictly voluntary and unpaid. This is not an employment position, contract role, or paid opportunity of any kind.

No financial compensation, benefits, royalties, or future payment will be provided for:

  • Time spent researching

  • Articles written

  • Evidence compiled

  • Participation in discussions or community spaces

Contributors participate entirely at their own discretion and may step away at any time.

3. Content Standards, Accuracy & Evidence

All contributions must be:

  • Based on verifiable, factual information

  • Supported by clear, relevant evidence, such as publicly available videos, posts, timestamps, archived material, or reputable third-party sources

  • Written in a neutral, encyclopedic tone

Speculation, rumors, assumptions, exaggeration, or unverified claims are not permitted. Personal opinions must be avoided wherever possible.

The website reserves the right to:

  • Request edits or additional sourcing

  • Modify content for clarity or neutrality

  • Remove content that does not meet accuracy or evidence standards

4. Personal Bias & Neutrality

Contributors are expected to approach all creators and topics responsibly and without personal agenda. This project exists to document creator history and lore — not to promote harassment, favoritism, or targeted narratives.

Repeated bias, framing content maliciously, or failure to adhere to neutrality standards may result in contributor status being revoked.

5. Mental & Physical Health Responsibility

Due to the nature of researching internet lore, controversies, and public figures, contributors acknowledge that they are solely responsible for managing their own mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing while participating.

If there is reasonable concern that participation is:

  • Negatively impacting a contributor’s health, or

  • Affecting their ability to contribute responsibly and safely,

the administration reserves the right to:

  • Pause or limit contributions

  • Revoke contributor status

  • Remove access to community platforms, including Discord

These decisions are made to protect both individual wellbeing and the wider community.

6. Privacy, Personal Information & Ethical Research

Contributors must respect privacy at all times.

This includes:

  • Not sharing private, leaked, or non-public personal information

  • Avoiding doxxing, speculation about private lives, or invasive research

  • Only using content obtained through ethical and legal means

  • Protecting their own personal information and the personal information of others

Any breach of privacy expectations may result in immediate removal from the project.

7. No Harassment, Brigading, or Targeting

Contributors may not use their role to:

  • Harass, intimidate, or target creators or other individuals

  • Encourage brigading, mass reporting, or coordinated attacks

  • Leverage research to fuel hate campaigns or personal disputes

Violation of this rule will result in immediate removal and loss of community access.

8. Community Conduct & Discord Access

Access to contributor-only spaces (including Discord servers) is a privilege, not a right.

Contributors are expected to:

  • Communicate respectfully

  • Act in good faith

  • Follow moderation decisions

Harassment, hostility, bad-faith behavior, or repeated rule violations may result in removal from community spaces and contributor status.

9. Confidentiality

Information shared within contributor-only or moderation spaces must not be shared externally without explicit permission.

Screenshots, quotes, or internal discussions may not be redistributed publicly.

10. Content Ownership & Usage Rights

By submitting content, contributors grant the website permission to:

  • Publish

  • Edit

  • Archive

  • Update

  • Display the content as part of the project

Content may be revised over time to maintain accuracy, relevance, and neutrality. Contributors acknowledge that content may remain on the site even if they later leave the project.

11. No Legal or Journalistic Authority

Contributors are not acting as journalists, investigators, legal professionals, or representatives of any authority.

All content reflects research and documentation of publicly available information and does not constitute legal findings, accusations, or official records.

12. Platform Independence

This website is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by TikTok, ByteDance, or any related entity.

13. Right to Remove Content or Revoke Access

The administration reserves the right to:

  • Remove or edit content

  • Revoke contributor status

  • Restrict or remove access to community platforms

This may occur at any time if these Terms & Conditions are violated or if continued participation is deemed harmful to the project or community.

14. Amendments & Updates

These Terms & Conditions may be updated or amended at any time. Continued participation after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
